At the Close of Every Day:

at the close of every day is a collaboration between multi-instrumentalists axel kabboord and minco eggersman. with their brand ofairy, minimal songwriting, atcoed began recording and playing shows in earnest, taking in dates not only in the netherlands but throughout europe, and sharing stages with the likes of low, arab strap, stereophonics, badly drawn boy, and 16 horsepower. in 2002, they began recording at the mailmen studio in utrecht with martijn groeneveld.

their gorgeous and spare debut album, zalig zijn de armen van geest ("blessed are the poor in spirit"), is made up of dark autumnal compositions of electric and acoustic guitars, bass, drums, and hammond organ and crowned by minco eggersman's rich, weary singing. already released throughout most of the world on a host of labels in 2003, loosethread is proud to bring the much adored and critically acclaimed zalig zijn de armen van geest to u.s. shores in 2004.
